Biography

Hip Hop the Clown (aka. LaVonne Thompson) is a life long resident of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She started clowning around in 1989 as a christian clown, known as Andy, for her church. Two years later, she changed her name from Andy to Hip Hop, due to the many requests to perform at birthday parties, picnics, nursing homes, store and company events.

Hip Hop is a professional clown that sings, raps, does skits, silly magic, and delights children of all ages, with her face painting and balloon twisting. She is a member of the Mid Penn Merrymakes (a local clown club) and Laugh Makers (an International Association of Family Entertainment Professionals).
